EOB Storage/Digitalization Costs Physical Storage: Labor $$$: Office staff gathers stacks of EOBs and place in cardboard boxes that are loaded then taken to the storage facility where they are unloaded and stacked in storage unit that costs the practice monthly storage fees. OR Manual scanning/Digital Storage:
Labor involved: In most offices without the Omni Electronic EOB Software, office staff compiles bundles of EOBs then operator places a stack at a time in a scanning unit then goes through the software's scanning process for each bundle. After all of the documents are scanned the user then has to go through several additional steps to archive/add the scanned documents to the Image Scanning Software program. Once these steps are completed the scanned EOB's are only viewable from users with the Scanning Software Search Engine installed on each users system These Imaging Software products have to be purchased separately.
